Problem: You are copying and pasting a formula over multiple columns from left-to-right, and you have to highlight the columns one by one after copying the base formula to avoid pasting it all the way to the nether-regions of farthest-right column XFD.
REFM 60-Second Skills Solution: in the column adjacent to the final column in your projection range, enter a zero all the way up and down that column. Now when you copy a formula, you can do the following to paste it just to the end of your projection range (not all the way through column XFD):
- Ctrl+C to copy the base formula (the Year 1 $25.00 amount in column E in the image above)
- Shift+Ctrl (held down at the same time), and while keeping them held down, hit the Right Arrow once
- Then let go of Ctrl while keeping the Shift button held down, and hit the Left Arrow once to back up one column so you don’t paste the formula into the zero column as well
- Then Ctrl+V to paste
- Then Home to return to the left-most portion of the sheet.
Enjoy.
